How to use Last Minute Quests
Last Minute Quests is a free D&D quest board for short adventures and one-shots. Here is how to find quests, read them at the table, and use the tools on this site.
Browse the quest board
The home page lists every published quest as a card. Quests load in your browser so you can filter and search without reloading the page.
- Categories — Use the category chips (for example Combat, Mystery, Social) to show only quests that match that style.
- Search — Type keywords to match titles and quest text. This helps when you need a specific theme or monster.
- Pagination — Choose how many quests appear per page using the controls above the grid. Page and list size stay in the URL, so you can bookmark or share a filtered view.
- Full archive — Prefer a simple list? The all quests page lists every published adventure with links to each quest page (paginated for quick loading).
Read a quest
Click a quest card to open the full write-up in a modal. You can also open a quest in its own page for a stable link: every quest has a URL like /quest/your-quest-slug/. Those pages are easy to share with your group or print from the browser.
NPC generator
The NPC Generator creates random characters with names, species, traits, and hooks. Pick options or hit random generation, then copy details into your notes or VTT. It is meant for quick shopkeepers, rivals, and patrons when you need a face in a hurry.
NPC of the Day
Some days the home page highlights an NPC of the Day for inspiration. If you do not see the block, your browser may need JavaScript enabled, or the section may not be available yet.
Display and accessibility
- Use the sun/moon control in the header to switch light or dark theme. Your choice is remembered on this device.
- At the top of every page, Skip to main content moves focus past the navigation for keyboard and screen reader users.
Feedback
Ideas, typos, or bugs? Use Send feedback — it helps improve the quest board and tools.
